Investing Today, Building Tomorrow: The CIB and Utah's Energy Economy
Understanding how Utah’s Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) supports the infrastructure and community needs created by energy development. Utah’s energy development generates significant resources for communities across the state. This discussion will explore how the Community Impact Board transforms those resources into investments in local infrastructure and community projects, from how funding is generated and allocated to how communities can successfully access it. CIB leadership, Uintah Basin representatives, and a local AOG representative will offer perspectives on the program and its role in supporting the region’s continued growth.

Ken Campbell, Director, Vernal Regional Airport, will provide an update on the airport’s efforts to improve and expand air travel opportunities in and out of Vernal. The presentation will highlight initiatives designed to better serve the Uintah Basin, with a particular focus on how the Vernal Regional Airport is strengthening air access for the Uintah Basin, supporting the travel needs of the oil and gas industry and the workforce that drives it.

Bridging the gap between the emerging workforce and Utah’s energy industry, this panel brings hiring professionals and recent graduates beginning their careers together for a candid conversation about the evolving relationship between employers and the next generation of workers.
